Gedanate’s comment: The overhead knife attack, so favored by movie directors because it is dramatic… It looks great on the big screen. But that’s the whole point. It is easy to see it coming, and most martial artists should have little trouble neutralizing the attack and the attacker. It is a favored attack in some parts of the world, too, because the downward stab has a lot of penetrating power. So don’t just stand there frozen, or you’ll be gone!
