Hi there, Sih. I am sorry, I have no idea. Please understand that Koichi Tohei sensei split with Aikikai at around 1970 and founded The Ki Society. (It has another name which escapes me for the moment... was it Shin Shin Toitsu Aikido?) Anyhow, try contacting them and see if they can help. Check out http://www.ki-society.com/english/renew/aikidokai_001.html or hunt around Youtube and Google. Good luck, and best wishes. David.

David,

Do you know where in Hk I could learn the Koichi Tohei Sensei's aikido in HK?
I am 45 and used to learn aikido about 7 years ago.
Many thanks,
SIH

Strange question, Tempo. That's like asking why police forces across the world aren't learning ANY one martial art as a means of protection. But to rise to your rather spammy challenge nevertheless, I would say Aikido in particular takes too long to learn. Cops need simple, basic moves they can master in a few weeks. Regards, David.

That is an amazing story but i have some doubts. After all, if aikido was just a perfect form of defense then why aren't police forces across the world learning it as a means of self protection?
