Pepper Sprays

Pepper sprays are one of the most popular types of self defense equipment.
Pepper sprays are now the self-defense accessory of choice because they have replaced the old Chemical Mace or tear gas sprays that came before.
Some of these pepper spray self defense devices are worn openly in a belt holster, others are smaller and more discrete. They all have a range from around six to twelve feet (2 to 3 meters), depending on the model.
Some pepper sprays even have a colored dye which makes it easy for the police to identify your attacker later.
Whichever type of pepper spray you use, when it hits at attacker in the face, he’ll be temporarily blinded and will drop to his knees immediately.
Once your attacker has been incapacitated by the self defense spray, that’s the time to pick up your heels and head for safety. Don’t run, you might fall down. Walking is much safer, and attracts less attention too.
If your would-be attacker had a weapon or if you consider him really dangerous still, you may wish to consider a follow-up attack of your own – such as a disabling kick to the head or to the knee.
However, an assault like that this could easily get you into trouble with the law, so measure your options first, before you decide what’s the best course of action. And always consider what the police or a judge or a jury might think about the incident weeks or months later.
