Self defense products are used by police, security officers and ordinary people, to quickly disable a violent attacker without using lethal force.
You don’t need to be a skilled fighter or a martial artist to use any of these self defense products.
However, it it important you keep the upper hand and deal effectively with any would-be-attacker; for if you don’t, they might take your weapon and use it against you! So be aware of the dangers, and never let that happen to you.
There are several types of non-lethal self defense products on the market that use chemicals or electric shocks to temporarily stun or disable a would-be attacker. These include Pepper Sprays, Stun Devices and Tasers.
There are also heavy flashlights you can buy that make great billy clubs, or retractable and spring-loaded batons which can be used to beat anyone who tries to hurt you or threaten you. But like I warned earlier… make very sure you don’t have the weapon taken off you and used on you.
Check your state and local regulations so the police don’t turn you into a criminal for carrying a prohibited weapon.
These types self defense products are prohibited in many countries outside the United States, so you should check with the police and other law-enforcement authorities in your own country. But even if you live in the U.S. you should check with the local police department to find out what they allow and what items are prohibited where you live.
I won’t go into firearms or knives as so-called self defense weapons because of their lethal potential, and the irreversable consequences for you and the other person if you use these tools. They also require considerable training to be effective. Self defense should never have to rely on good luck to succeed in getting you out of danger.
